An arresting image captured by renown South African photographer David Bloomer. David Bloomer has spent time in Swaziland and Gauteng capturing intriguing images of “illegal” miners, long forgotten asbestos mines and decaying brutalist architecture from the apartheid regime. His captivating landscape and portrait work of these characters and the harsh environments they risk their lives in day to day provide us with a glimpse into this “bi product” of the industrial age. This image has been printed on archival cotton rag and captured using medium and large format film cameras. Each print comes with a minimalist white frame.
